With the changes to the TAE Training Package now in development, now is the time to upgrade your TAE40110 Certificate IV TAE to the current TAE40116 Cert IV TAE.
From the PWC Skills website:
“It is recognised that under Schedule 1 of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 one of the credentials able to be held for trainers and assessors delivering training and assessment is the ‘TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its successor‘.

With the updates being developed now and the release looking to occur early in 2023, NOW is the very best time to enrol for your Upgrade to the TAE40116 Cert IV TAE so that you can demonstrate equivalence should the Standards for RTO’s decide to remove the TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, plus TAELLN411 and TAEASS502 as credentials sufficient for delivering and assessing AQF Qualifications.
There are a number of different pathways that you can take. Take a look at the flowchart below to see which TAE40116 Cert IV TAE Upgrade option best suits your circumstances:
Unlike previous Certificate IV in Training & Assessment qualifications, the latest TAE40116 requires people entering the program to be able to:
Demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.
For most people, it will simply be a matter of providing a copy of some other qualification, skill set, or statement of attainment. If you do not possess another qualification, then we would require you to provide a CV that shows your broad industry knowledge and experience, combined with a Position Description and Third Party Report from someone who can attest to your experience.
