Under the 2025 Standards for RTOs Credentials Policy, things have become more streamlined. Trainers and assessors can now hold any of the following qualifications to train and assess:

• TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment 
• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment 
• TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment 

That’s right—you no longer need to hold TAELLN411 or TAEASS502 separately to remain compliant.

If you've also completed other industry relevant Qualifications at Cert IV or above, you might also get credit for units that can be imported making the transition more efficient than you might expect.
