Frustrating, But Necessary

Every now and then, a TAE Diploma student writes a review that we believe really captures what Fortress Learning tries to do. Instead of them ending up hidden among the others, we will share them with you, and try to explain why we think they are so appropriate.

Jayme – what did she say?
Frustrating. This is how I would describe my experience with Fortress Learning.
Frustrating because I would submit evidence as part of the Diploma of VET and they would ask for just a little bit more to ensure all requirements were covered or they would ask for better quality evidence.
Frustrating but necessary.
Why did this particular testimonial comment get our attention?

She’s right.  This is the experience of most students undertaking an RPL pathway with Fortress Learning.  It is frustrating and yes, probably your first submission of evidence won’t suffice.  We’ll be picky and pedantic and possibly your frustration might even swell into anger.

We understand this and we sympathise.

But we’ll still be picky and pedantic.

Jayme nailed it when she said, “but necessary”.  It is necessary to be 100% through to ensure your Fortress Learning qualification reflects everything that we say it will – and that is, that you are competent.  Not mostly competent, but completely competent.

And when you question the rigour of our assessment, we will not flinch.  Our pickiness and pedantry will have ensured that we have the evidence, clear and absolute, to validate our judgement.

And, most importantly, you’ll know, not just believe, that you are Competent. 100%.
