Fortress Learning made studying easy. I worked full time throughout my TAE40122. Their platform and course were easy to follow, meaning that I was able to complete both my TAE and my work without feeling stressed or overwhelmed. I highly recommend Fortress Learning as the RTO to complete your Cert IV TAE via distance education through. I was previously with another RTO who went under nearly halfway through my course. Fortress marked the assessments I had completed and were able to grant me RPL. My trainer, Deb, was amazing. The support I received throughout the course was amazing. Assessments were marked within a week and feedback was always constructive. If you want to complete your TAE studies do it with the best, do it with Fortress Learning!

I looked into schools that provide the TAE Certificate IV and found one in my area, Fortress, which is a current and accredited RTO (see https : // training. gov. au /). They say, "We are not only fast, but we also care, with maximum response times of 4 hours (phone) and 8 hours (email)." And if you want the marking completed within four days (or less), they deliver on this promise too. I was very pleased with their support. They responded quickly (as stated above), and they were very kind and considerate with all marking, explaining why, what, and how to proceed to complete my assignment correctly. I strongly recommend this teaching enterprise.

The training experience with Fortress was amazing. The CertIV training and assessment is a pretty full on course. In addition to running my own business, I volunteer with Surf Life Saving and have a busy family life. The team at Fortress were really supportive in helping me navigate the course and worked with me when I was challenged time wise... they were always there to help. I cannot recommend Fortress and their team highly enough.

5 star service from day 1!! I had previously been enrolled with another RTO but was having difficulties with their online course and a friend recommended I contact Fortress Learning and there was no turning back. The customer service was faultless, very prompt replies to my initial enquiry and I was able to book in a call with my trainer Deb at short notice to answer my questions before I enrolled in a TAE course I needed to complete. The online modules were easy to follow and the assessments were outlined clearly as to what was expected and there were templates available as a guide if needed. Deb went above and beyond to assist me throughout my training and was very professional in her manner. Debs wealth of knowledge in the VET sector, in particular in health was extremely valuable and I can’t thank her enough for her support. I would not hesitate to recommend Fortress Learning to anyone looking to enrol in online training and will certainly be back in the future for any training needs.

As I just completed my Cert IV in Training and Assessment, I highly recommend Fortress Learning as an absolute fantastic institute to study at! No question was to silly or to hard for them! Fortress provided a great experience by way of a large amount of resources to lead in, an exceptional Trainer (Brian) who was highly knowledgeable on the subject and great follow up in support services. This was made even better by the way the Trainer created and fed a team approach to completing tasks. No one got left behind and it was a fantastic learning environment which isn't an easy task in an online environment. I've completed this course many years ago and learnt so much more at this course.....highly recommend Fortress to enhance your skills.

The qualification (TAE) is a joke BUT Fortress do try to make it easier for you to complete. They have vidoes that guide you through the assignments and also annotated samples which make it really handy. Best advice; if you can AVOID doing the qualification then do so, but if you have no choice then choose Fortress.

I highly recommend Fortress Learning if you are thinking of starting a course or gaining a new qualification. The staff and trainers are thorough, professional, and their attention to detail is excellent. The online portal system is simple to navigate, and the course notes and videos are clear, concise and easy to follow. I found the trainers and assessors to be readily available, prompt in their replies, and in some instances willing to go above and beyond, especially in my case where a deadline was imminent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fortress Learning.

While the TAE is offered by numerous RTO's, the course material, assessment guides (if they provide them) and support can be vastly different! Honestly, the best way to work out if an RTO is just talking the talk but not walking the walk, is to read their reviews on independent platforms like Trustpilot, and see what others are saying about their experience with them.
We know you can definitely pay less money for your training elsewhere, but cheap doesn't mean easy to understand learning material, the support you need that will actually get you to the finish line or a quality training that will give you the skills and confidence to step into the role when you're done.
According to the NCVER in their Australian vocational education and training statistics VET student outcomes report for 2022, the national average statistic for students who said that they "experienced improved employment status after completing their VET training", was 65%.
Compare this to the students who did their training with Fortress Learning, and a whopping 83.3% of our students said that they received an improved employment status after completing their studies. That's an increase of over 27% compared to the National Average!
This skill set is for any teacher who holds a Bachelor of Education degree or higher, who is currently eligible to register as a secondary teacher in their state, and who wants to be able to teach VET courses in a secondary school. You don't need to be currently working as a secondary teacher to be able to do this skill set.
RPL: You'll be provided with"RPL Kits" to complete the unit via RPL which is all online and then completes with a "competency conversation" with a trainer to cover it all off. Then you just have to complete the assessments like the non-RPL students do.
Non-RPL: All of your course work material will be available to you in your Learner Portal for you. It's got all of the units listed in a logical order and being online and self-paced, you can work at your own convenience and fit it in around your busy schedule.
Both: The knowledge question assessments for each unit are done all online ,which is in your Learner Portal.
The TAEASS412 assessment requires 3 people to act as "candidates", which is all you will need to arrange for yourself from either your current workplace or using friends and family.
The validation assessment is done via a free workshop that you book into once you have completed all of the learning and once you successfully pass all of the assessments, that's it! A statement of attainment is then awarded to you. You also have 6 months to complete it.
Yes you absolutely can! If you can provide what you need as evidence for RPL, we highly recommend you do.
If for some reason you don't qualify for RPL, coursework for the units you can't use RPL for, will definitely be provided.
Yes you can!
With the TAEASS412 assessment you will need to assess 3 candidates, so you could use your current students for it as long as they are enrolled in a VET course. This is what we call a "work-based pathway".
If you're not currently working in a secondary school and don't have VET students to use for the assessments, you just need 3 people who can act as candidates for you to complete the assessment. These can be friends or family and this is what we call a "simulated pathway".
Both pathways lead to the same qualification once you graduate though.

- TAEDES411 Use nationally recognised training products to meet vocational training needs
- TAEDES412 Design and develop plans for vocational training
- TAEPDD401 Work effectively in the VET sector
Once your enrolment is finalised, this is when you are set up with a login to your Learner Portal. An email is sent with everything you need to have and know to get started and inside the Learner Portal is a video introduction that will show you how to navigate around it.
Inside the learner portal you'll find all of your units listed in a logical order, with all lessons in PDF's and videos, broken down into smaller chunks with comprehensive assessment guides to make it as easy as possible to know what you need to do to complete them right the first time. And as you complete each item, they are marked as complete so you can easily see where you're up to when you next log in.
You’ll be sent to a booking page just after making your deposit payment, to book your enrolment interview and a confirmation email will be sent to you with the details of everything you need to have prepared for that interview.
The interview can be booked on the same day but there is a minimum of a 4 hour gap from applying to being able to do the enrolment interview, this is so you have time to get prepared.
HEADS UP: You will need your USI (Student Identifier) before you get to your interview.
This is done via Google Meet where you can ask any additional questions and clear up anything you’re not sure of before enrolling. This is also where we both get to make sure you have chosen the right course pathway and support package for what you really need.
During the interview we’ll conduct a "Suitability Assessment". This is a series questions that will help us determine if you can meet the technical, practical and skill requirements needed for you to be able to confidently complete this course online.
The technical requirements are things like having regular computer access as well as knowledge and confidence navigating things like email, logins and websites. The practical questions are to make sure you have access to the human and physical resources you need to complete the assessments in your course.
We will ask additional questions about your goals, your online experience and comfort level in learning online, your learning ability plus your availability to study.This is all to make sure you're in the right course and set up to succeed before enrolling formally. This gives you more confidence that you can absolutely get all the way to graduation.
If the course is found to be unsuitable for you, your deposit (including the enrolment interview fee of $150) will be fully refunded. If you don't show up for your enrolment interview or if you change your mind after the interview within the 7 day cooling off period, the enrolment fee is not refunded.
If during your Enrolment Interview we discover this course is not suitable for you, we’ll offer other alternative solutions or refund all fees paid, including the $150 deposit.
The flexibility of our online approach means that if you need to take a break from studying, we’ve got that covered too.
We offer the option to defer (pause) your studies. Whilst you are deferred, your enrolment is inactive, and we pause your enrolment duration. Then, when you are reactivated from deferment, you pick up exactly where you left off and carry on.

The most important thing is to contact us if your enrolment isn’t working out as you had planned, so that we can offer you the best support options as and when you need them.
We know that right now you probably “need” to do this training and you’re looking for fast and easy so it’s relatively painless for you. We get it, so we’ve spent more time on our end making it as straightforward for you as possible, and finding ways to do our part more efficiently so we’re not the bottleneck!

You can pay in full and upfront, but you can also pay a deposit (which includes the $150 non-refundable enrolment interview fee), and choose a fortnightly or weekly payment plan. When you select "Enrol", you will see the various packages available for your course, and once you select the package you want, you will be presented with the various payment options.
If you want to go back and see another package and their payment plan options, just hit "back".
When you will pay your deposit it includes your $150 non-refundable enrolment interview fee. This covers the cost of the behind-the-scenes work and time taken to prepare and run the interview itself because it is a cost to us. It's also not fair to others who could have booked an earlier time with us when people just don't show up.
We do the enrolment interview to make sure that the course is the right course for you, and that you have all of the resources and the time you will need to complete it successfully (baring any unexpected events that could impact it) BEFORE you actually enrol. We have saved many students money, time and frustration by having this interview and discovering that it's unlikely they will complete it successfully for some reason. We are invested in your success from the start.
If the course isn't suitable for you for whatever reason, you will be refunded the whole amount of your deposit, including your $150 enrolment interview fee. If you simply don't show up, the $150 enrolment interview fee won't be refunded should you choose not to go ahead for other reasons.
If an emergency happens and you can’t let us know you won’t be able to make it for some reason, we’re generous when it matters most so there are circumstances where this enrolment interview fee will also be refunded, but this is only on a case by case basis.
